Lighting Practice: Ghost in the Shell Bust

Ghost in the Shell, and Mamoru Oshii's work in general is a major inspiration for me, so I decided to light a character loosely based on one from the second movie, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence.
I created all visual elements in the shot, from modelling to comp. For this project I tried to beauty light my shot in maya/mentalray as much as possible, leaving only a few colour timing adjustments in comp. I used indirect light as well, but reduced its contribution significantly to achieve a greater sense of contrast and weight in the blacks.
